Abstract

Motivation: Internet technology is increasingly efficient in sharing professional data and information. However, conventional publishing systems are still slow, costly, and subject to biases. I wanted to provide a system that follows the original motivation of research results publication.

Results: Here is an example openhypertext paper published in BiO journal which is a completely openfree journal for maximum research data, information, and knowledge sharing on- and off-line. The paper should contain short "Abstract", "Introduction", "Results", "Conclusion", "Acknowledgement", "Reference", and "Supplementary". Figures can be included with proper legend at the right place in the paper.

Introduction

Internet technology is sufficiently effective to provide fast and accurate research paper publication since 1990 when the web became widely known. However, still, the traditional style of publication in academia is practiced. Some new progress such as OpenAccess is becoming popular. However, still, it is not maximizing the sharing accurate scienfitifc research data. Here I propose a system that uses an openhypertext, as known as Wiki, to easily add and edit research papers in biology and broadly in science.

Results

I used Media wiki with a graphical user interface (GUI) that enables authors easily put up research papers. The authors can use any common research paper style but including the following entries:  "Abstract", "Introduction", "Results", "Conclusion", "Acknowledgement", and "Reference".
